Obituary for Arlene Marie Schmid Arlene Marie Schmid, 60, of North Plainfield, passed away on August 28, 2018 at her home. Born in Elizabeth to the late Joseph and Helen Schmid (nee Loftus), she was raised in South Plainfield where she spent most of her life. Arlene was a hard worker who held a job during and after high school.

She went on to travel cross country and attend molding school before settling in South Bound Brook with her late husband, Frank Ogonowski to stay at home to raise their son Matthew. She was devoted to her family whom she loved dearly and enjoyed the quality time spent together, especially with her cherished grandson Damian. Arlene was preceded in death by her dear husband Frank in 2004 and her brother James.

Surviving are her cherished son, Matthew Frank Ogonowski, her adored grandson Damian Matthew Ogonowski, her dear siblings, Evelyn Schenek and husband Richard, Michael Schmid and wife Leslie, Robert Schmid and wife Lisa, Paul Schmid and wife Robbie, Linda Deionno, and her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00PM at the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield. Funeral services will begin at 4:00PM at the funeral home with a prayer.
