Obituary for Arline Platt Arline Platt, 79 of Eltingville, passed on Friday, November 16, 2018, at Staten Island University Hospital North. Born Friday, October 20, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Lingeza. After graduating from the College of Staten Island, Arline began her work as a nurse for 20 years at Staten Island University South.

She retired from the hospital in 2003. In her spare time, Arline enjoyed crocheting and enjoying updates of her family and friends on Facebook. Surviving are her sons Kevin, Bryan, Richard, Roger and her daughter Kathleen Cowen; her brother Frank Lingeza and six grandchildren Christine, Kimberly, Keric, Lauren, John and Jenna.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Holy Child Church located at 4747 Amboy Road Staten Island, New York 10312. Arrangements include private cremation. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday, November 19, 2018, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
