Obituary for Anthony DiRosa Anthony DiRosa, 95, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at the VA Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Born Thursday, January 4, 1923 in New York, New York, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Josephine DiRosa. Anthony was the beloved husband for 62 years to Santina before her passing in 2008.

Anthony lived in Canarsie Brooklyn before settling in Staten Island in the early 1990;s. He was a proud and honorably discharged Veteran of the United States Army. He proudly served his country from 1942-1945.

He fought in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II. He recieved a Bronze and Silver Stars. After his return, Anthony worked for the Department of Education as a custodial engineer for over 25 years.

In his spare time, Anthony enjoyed listening to music and traveling. He made frequent trips to Italy. He also gave back to the Veteran community by volunteering at the Brooklyn VA and was recognized for his 12,000 hours he offered over the years.

Anthony is survived by his brother Peter DiRosa, and nieces Nancy Dellaria and Loretta Denora. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday at Our Lady Star of The Sea located at 5411 Amboy Road Staten Island, New York 10312. Interment will be in Canarsie Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday, November 19, 2018, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
