Obituary for Luis Herrera, Jr. Luis Herrera, Jr., 63 of Brooklyn, New York passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018, at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn. Born Saturday, October 22, 1955 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of Luis Herrera and Lucy Medina Herrera. Luis, a foreman for Wine Liquor and Distillery Workers Union Local 1, enjoyed much of his free time spent with family and friends.

Loving father of Lauren Herrera, Stefanie Kendall, Melanie Abagnalo, and Joseph Herrera, Dear brother of Emily Casanova and Ed Herrera. Cherished grandfather of Joseph Gallo, Matthew Wohlstetter, Sydney Wohlstetter, John Herrera, James Herrera, and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his new grandson in April, Rocco Abagnalo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Holy Child Church located at 4747 Amboy Road Staten Island, New York 10312.

Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
