OBITUARY Hugh F. Canlon September 11, 1926 – November 3, 2018 Hugh Canlon Loving father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather Hugh “Ace” Canlon died on Nov. 3, 2018. He was a World War II veteran, an active member of Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, Staten Island, and past president of their Titan League.

He was a 40-year member of Local 1, Elevator Mechanics Union. Hugh was a graduate of Curtis High School, where he was an all-star football player. Hugh was the beloved husband of the late Eva Jean; loving father of Michael (Christine), Jean (John) Pemberton, Frances, William, Robert (Jennifer), Thomas and the late Sharon Biggs (Thomas); proud grandfather of Allyson, Matthew, Gaige, Meghan and Sydney; and great-grandfather of two.

Reposing Wednesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Harmon Funeral Home, 571 Forest Ave. , Staten Island, N.Y. Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church. Interment is in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Staten Island.
