Mr. Arliss Eugene “Gene” Walters, age 81 husband of the late Amanda Ruth Clark Walters of Meadow Creek Road, Rockholds, Kentucky passed away on Monday morning at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was the father of Shirley Logan and husband, Freddie, Jennifer Walters and Jeff Walters and wife, Kathy all of Corbin, Kentucky. He was the brother of Fannie Mae Kelley of Dearborn, Michigan and Mary Walker of Alabaster, Alabama.

He was the grandfather of Mindy Logan of Lexington, Kentucky, Ashley Logan of Frankfort, Kentucky, Tonda Stevens and husband, Toby and Ronda Engle and husband, David all of Corbin, Kentucky. Besides his wife he was preceded in death by his parents, Luke and Otie Bays Walters, by three brothers, Jimmy Walters, Charles Walters and Roy Walters and by two sisters, Marie Sharp and Opal Walters. Graveside services and burial for Mr. Arliss Eugene “Gene” Walters will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Locust Grove Cemetery in Keavy, Kentucky with Pastor Kevin Roach officiating.

The family of Mr. Arliss Eugene “Gene” Walters will receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Laurel Funeral Home is honored to be of service to the Walters family.
