Obituary for Arnold R Schulz Jr. Schulz Jr., Arnold “Andy” R., age 77, of Kettering, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 24th, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born August 23rd, 1941 to Arnold R. Schulz Sr. and Grace G. Schulz (Vawter). Andy retired after more than 32 years of being a firefighter at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
He was an Air Force Veteran. Andy had a huge love for dogs. In his spare time you could find him going to Old Car Shows, working out in the yard on a beautiful day, building things for the home or cooking his favorite pot of chili.
He was also very fond of gambling, and loved to play slot machines. When he was able, Andy and his wife, Pat loved to travel and to go and visit family. Andy will be remembered most for his sarcasm and the love he had so deeply for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Andy is survived by his loving wife, Patricia “Pat” Schulz (Muller) of 54 years, daughter Kathryn Freshour, son Michael (Trisha) Schulz, 5 grandchildren; Olivia, Korryn, and Sydney Freshour, and Justin and Katelyn Schulz. Brother Walter (Terri) Schulz, and a sister Joyce Gehlenborg.
Special friends; Jack Erwine and Jerry Young, along with numerous nieces and nephews. To help the family celebrate Andy’s life, you are invited to share during the Life Celebration Visitation from 1:00 to 5:00 pm Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Conner and Koch Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook, Oh 45305. The family requests that there be no flowers, instead suggests donations to be made to either Hospice of Dayton, 24 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH 45420 or SICSA of Greater Dayton, 2600 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH 45419.
