OBITUARY Arthur Alexander Davidson December 12, 1932 – January 30, 2019 Celebration of Life services for Arthur A. (Mickey) Davidson, Jr., 86, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 2, 2019 in the chapel of Pine Crest Funeral Home with Reverends Tim Smith and Ken Aycock officiating. Internment will immediately follow on the grounds of Pine Crest Cemetery, Mobile, Alabama. The family will be receiving guests for visitation Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 1:00 PM until time of service at 2:00 PM.

Arthur Alexander Davidson, Jr. was born December 12, 1932 in Mobile, Alabama to the late Arthur Alexander, Sr. and Margaret Lucille Lyle Davidson. He was called from this earthly home January 30, 2019 here in Mobile. He served this grateful nation, enlisting in the United States ARMY.

Mickey retired from NAVSEA in 1996. He had a passion for singing in the church choir, at weddings here in Mobile, in Madame Butterfly with the Opera of Mobile. Mickey possessed such a loving and giving personality accompanied by his great sense of humor.

He never met a stranger and would show kindness towards others. Mickey was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Heustis Davidson and one sister, Mary Lyle Davidson McGuire. Mickey leaves behind a beloved wife of sixty-three years; Frances Viola Beard Davidson, four children: Arthur Alexander Davidson, III and wife Sara Jane, James Calvin Davidson, Sr. and wife Kimberly Michelle, Daniel McRae Davidson and wife Emily, Cynthia Michele Davidson DiMeglio and husband Jeff, one sister; Iris Davidson Hudgens, ten grandchildren: Anna Davidson Chapman, Katie Davidson, Calvin Davidson, Dayton Davidson, Daniel Davidson II, Kara Davidson, Emily Davidson, Brian DiMeglio, Andrew DiMeglio, Nicholas DiMeglio, one great-grandson; Cohen Davidson Stanley, along with numerous extended family members and many wonderful friends.

The family expresses their deepest, sincerest gratitude to the ER and ICU Staff at Providence Hospital. Memorials may be made in honor of Arthur Alexander Davidson, Jr. to the building fund at Christ Anglican Church, 3275 Halls Mill Road, Mobile, Alabama, 36606, (251-476-7790).
