Obituary for Arthur Joseph Lee A loving and dedicated son, brother and friend, Arthur Joseph Lee, age 29, shed himself of his earthly body and took his first refreshing breath of heavenly air on Wednesday, May 9th, 2018. Joseph was born in Chamblee, Georgia on January 31, 1989 to Arthur R. “Bob” and Joyce Lee. He is preceded in death by his Grandfather, Lorenzo A. Williams.
He is survived by his mother and father, his loving and devoted sister Rachel C Lee of Lawrenceville, GA, his grandparents Helena L (Dorman) Williams of Kennesaw, GA, Arthur E and Roberta L (Redman) Lee of Columbus, OH, and a host of relatives and dear friends. At the age of 5, Joseph made the most important decision of his life and accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at the 1994 Billy Graham Crusade at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. He is a lifetime member of First Baptist Atlanta.
He is a graduate of The Kings Academy, Woodstock, GA. Joseph went to the University of Georgia for two years, became a Cobb County Police Officer, worked in the security field, and applied himself to learning everything he could concerning protective and tactical services. He became a Special Task Force Security Agent of the United States of America worked for two private security contractors in Kuwait, first Triple Canopy and then For URS, a Division of AECOM.
Overlapping his accomplishments was his battle with alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma, a fast growing childhood cancer. He was diagnosed first at the age of 11, then 17 and finally at 29. He fought with all he had until God lovingly took him into his arms.
Visitation and funeral will be Monday, May 14, 2018. Visitation: 10:00 am – 12:00 noon in the Decision Room. Funeral service: 12:30 in the church sanctuary.
