Obituary for Reginald “Reggie” James Rowe Reginald “Reggie” James Rowe went home to the Lord on Saturday, April 28, 2018. He was 45. Reggie was born September 1, 1972 in Newburgh, NY, the son of Reginald Rowe and Carol Gress.

Reggie is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Rowe & daughter, Jordan Elizabeth, at home; his parents, Reginald & Bonnie Rowe of Plattekill, NY and Charles & Carol Gress of Dallas, GA; his siblings, Rebecca Fritz (Todd), Jason Gress (Cheryl), Anthony Gress, Sarah Rowe, Megan Tuttle (Frederick), Shannon Rowe, Richard Rowe, Kylie Bosch (Nathan) and Joan Rowe; nieces and nephews, Carrie, Jonah, Ryleigh, Kirsten, Brenden, Koen, Eden, Liam, and Brannagh; aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is pre-deceased by a brother, Jeremy Gress. Reggie was a loving & dedicated husband, father, son, brother, and friend.

Family meant everything to him; including his wife and daughter, who were the center of his life. Reggie was a long-time, beloved member of Eastwood Baptist Church. Along with his wife, Debbie, he was a choir member and served in the Children’s Ministry at Eastwood.

He was also an avid runner and a volunteer with the Run Bum Organization and others. He participated in many other races over the years including Spartan Obstacle Races, Mountain Goat Adventures Trail Runs, and loved conquering Kennesaw Mountain numerous times with his running buddies. Reggie touched thousands of lives with his kindness, work ethic, determination, wit, and faith.

He was a friend to many, had a passion for cooking, loved being outdoors, had a knack for making people laugh, and was a walking encyclopedia. Reggie was a veteran of the United States Army, joining during Operation Desert Storm. With nearly 25 years of experience in the transportation industry, Reggie has worked for Cobb County Schools Transportation Department for over 15 years, his most recent position as a Transportation Supervisor.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 5th, 2018 at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home, 180 Church Street, Marietta, GA. A funeral service will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 6th at Eastwood Baptist Church, 1150 Allgood Rd, Marietta, GA. Burial will immediately follow at Mountain View Park Cemetery, 410 Whitlock Ave NW, Marietta, GA.
