Obituary for Kip Kupcewicz Kip Kupcewicz “Casimir”, 93, of Marietta passed away on Saturday June 16, 2018. Originally from Melville, New York, Kip had been happily married to his wife, Alice for 65 years. Alice, his life partner, passed away three years earlier and was greatly missed.

Kip was born and raised in Jamaica, New York along with his brothers, Julius and Ted. He settled down after marriage in Melville on Long Island. He had a long career as an aerospace engineer and executive before retiring and moving to Georgia.

He was a World War II veteran, a talented musician, an avid golfer, and truly the world’s best handyman. He could fix anything! Kip had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh.

He was a wonderful father and grandfather, and a friend to all. He would do anything for anyone and loved helping others. Kip is survived by two daughters, Diane Woods and her husband, Howard of New Mexico, Janet Kupcewicz and her partner, Joyce of Philadelphia; son, Mark Kupcewicz and his wife, Debra Dupuy of Acworth, Georgia; three grandchildren, Alexandra, Nicholas, and Christopher; many nieces and nephews.

He will be greatly missed. A visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20 at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 21 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marietta.

Entombment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta. The family requests donations be made in loving memory of Kip to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. www.
