Obituary for Allen David Tudor It is with great sadness that the family of Allen David Tudor announces his passing on Friday, July 6, 2018, at 79 years of age. Allen passed away in his home in Katy, Texas, after residing in his true home of Kennesaw, Georgia for 32 years. Mr. Tudor was born in Newtown, Ohio on August 19, 1938.
He was the second of seven children born to the late Claude David Tudor, Mabel Irene Haschart Tudor and his beloved step-father, Harold Bokley. Allen joined the United States Army at a young age and was a paratrooper stationed in Germany. It was during his time in the Army that he met the love of his life, Wanda Pearl Van Hook Tudor.
They were married for nearly 48 years when she preceded him in death on August 25, 2007. Allen was a very loving and devoted husband to his late wife, Wanda. He never missed a moment to share stories of her and carry-on her memory since her passing.
Allen was a self-employed and hardworking man who owned and operated several businesses, including franchises of “Sap’s Bakeries” in Lexington, Kentucky and Cincinnati, Ohio, as well as owned “Al Tudor Enterprises” in Kennesaw, Georgia. Allen selflessly worked long hours to provide for his five daughters and wife. His work ethic remained strong throughout his life, even in his final days he was planning his next business venture.
While Allen had a passion for the work he did, it also afforded him the opportunity to pursue another one of his passions, family vacations. Allen took his family to his favorite places across the US, including Yellowstone, Niagara Falls, The Grand Canyon, Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and Daytona Beach. Allen loved listening to country classics, watching western classic movies, playing trivia, and stopping at the casino along his way to visit each of his five daughters.
Allen is also preceded in death by his brothers, William Tudor, Howard Tudor, Phillip Tudor, and Johnny Tudor, brother-in-law Ralph Van Hook, brother-in-law Clyde Van Hook, and sister-in-law Vivian Van Hook.
