Obituary for James DeFrancesco James DeFrancesco of Acworth, GA, formerly of Marietta, GA, entered into eternal rest on July 17, 2018. Jim was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 11, 1926. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Catherine T. DeFrancesco; sons James DeFrancesco (Pam) of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Kenneth DeFrancesco (Lisa) of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Stephen DeFrancesco (Michelle) of Marietta, GA; grandchildren Stephen William DeFrancesco and Mary Grace DeFrancesco of Marietta, GA; twin sister Anna Armento of Glendora, NJ; nieces and nephews.

Jim is predeceased by his parents Rocco and Mary DeFrancesco, sisters Mary Jonello and Rose Mattioli. Jim served in the army during World War II. He retired from Irwin Seating Company as a field sales manager.

During his retirement, Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and pursuing many hobbies including art, woodworking and playing pool and chess at the Senior Center. A funeral service will take place on Monday, July 23 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Marietta chapel with Dr. Bill Ross officiating. Internment will take place at 12:45 PM at Georgia National Cemetery Canton, GA.

A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, July 22 between 2:00 and 4:00 PM at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta.
