Obituary for Linda Brooks Daniell Linda Brooks Daniell passed away peacefully at WellStar Tranquility Hospice on June 5, 2018 following a two-and-a-half-year battle with metastatic melanoma. She was 77. Linda was born August 24, 1940 in Pasadena, California to John Thomas and Marjorie Brooks.

They moved to Garland, Texas where she welcomed brother, Michael Brooks. In 1952, the family moved to Marietta. She graduated from Marietta High School and attended Sullins College, Georgia State and the University of Georgia.

She worked for Lockheed Corporation where she met Curtis Daniell. They married in 1963 at First Presbyterian Church. Together, they raised daughters, Nicole Daniell Verduci and Courtney Daniell-Knapp.

Although an avid volunteer through the Junior League of Marietta, the Cobb-Marietta Ballet, and The Walker School, Linda’s primary focus was caring for her family. Once her nest was empty, she poured her energy into the Marietta Garden Club, MUST Ministries and traveling to Southern France and Houston to spend time with her grandchildren: Giovanni, Ella, Linda, Emerson, and Theodore. Linda was devoted to family, a creative force in her endeavors, a generous friend to all, especially her “birthday clubs,” and the life of every party.

Linda is survived by husband, Curtis Daniell; daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Mimo Verduci; grandchildren, Giovanni, Ella, and Linda Verduci; daughter, Courtney Daniell-Knapp and grandsons, Emerson and Theodore Knapp; brother, Michael Brooks; brothers and sisters-In-law, David and Charlene Daniell, Sue Daniell, Phillip and Peggy Martin, Jeff and Kim White, and Kevin and Terri Daniell; nieces and nephews, Jay and Lyric Garten, Chris and Tiffany Griffin, Torre Daniell, Dan Martin, Cindy, Ansley and Halley White, Kelsey and Thomas Lane, Clay and Melissa Duda; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Spencer and Ian Resmondo, Brett and Kristin Kilgore, Tricia Griffin, Cameron, Jamie, and Lance Daniell; Indiana cousins, Ronald Coleman, Dave and Barbara Epperson and Susan Shearer. She is preceded in death by parents, John Thomas and Marjorie Brooks; parents-in-law, Billy and Elsie Daniell; and nephew, Alan Resmondo. A memorial will take place Friday, June 15, 2018 at 4:00 pm at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta with visitation starting at 3:00 pm.

Family and friends will host a reception at the Daniell home following the memorial.
