Miss Arvella Leatrice Snyder, 95, of Hagerstown, died suddenly late Wednesday night, February 20, 2019, at Meritus Medical Center. Born December 13, 1923, in West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Blaine and Eva Laura Martin Snyder. She graduated from Hagerstown High School.

Miss Snyder worked in the Hagerstown area and may best be remembered for her work with Fairchild Industries, and the South End A&P Store. She was a long time member of The Presbyterian Church of Hagerstown. Surviving are her sisters, Ruby E. Staley of Williamsport, and Elizabeth C. Ridenour of Hagerstown; as well as nieces and nephews, Linda, Doug, Jennifer, Wesley, Sharon, Jimmy, Mary, Bridgett, Mark, and Mike.

Besides her parents, Miss Snyder was preceded in death by siblings Carl Boncord, and James and Herbert Snyder, and Mary Goetz and Charlotte Hoover. The family will receive friends at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 East Antietam Street, Hagerstown, on Monday, February 25, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 26, at 11:00 AM, with family member, Rev.
