Aubrey A. Morgan Jr. of Troy, IL, 88, was born May 28, 1930 at Oktaha, Oklahoma. He passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at his residence. Aubrey was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War (July 1948-July 1953).

He retired from AT&T Co. after 30 years of service and from the Civil Service after 10 years of service. He was preceded in death by his father, Aubrey; his step-father, Noble Walden; his mother, Hilda (Foreman) Morgan Walden; two half sisters, Patty and Betty Walden; paternal and maternal grandparents; son, John A. Morgan; and grandsons, Jeffrey D. Morgan and Dustin D. Morgan. Aubrey is survived by his wife, Janice M. (Woods) Morgan, whom he married on December 16, 1951; son, David W. Morgan; grandson, Timothy Morgan; granddaughters, Teresa (Rocky) Nevels and Myrinda Morgan; seven great-grandchildren; half brother, Russ Walden; along with numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Aubrey requested no flowers. If you feel the needs to make a donation, Aubrey’s favorite charities were DAV (Disabled American Veterans), VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars), USO (United Service Organization) or the Humane Society of Missouri. Funeral services celebrating Aubrey’s life will be at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2019.
