Michael Donald Moses, 73, of Warner, Oklahoma entered Heaven’s gates on Monday, March 4, 2019. He was born April 25, 1945 in Checotah, Oklahoma to J.T. Moses and Edna Mae (Osborn) Moses. He attended Checotah Public from which he graduated and furthered his education at OSU Technological Institute in Okmulgee.

Michael worked in the shipping department at McDonnell Douglas and retired after 28 years of service. He married Geraldine Martin on January 9, 1970 in Miami, Oklahoma. They shared more than 49 years of life and marriage together.

Mike loved his dogs and animals; especially his horses and cattle. He will always be remembered for his love of living in the country and his immaculate lawn. He enjoyed smoking meats in his smoker, hunting artifacts, and being outdoors cutting wood and working on the farm.

He was a faithful and active member of Warner First Baptist Church where he loved to serve the Lord. Mike was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his son, David Jr; parents, J.T. and Edna Moses; stepfather, Lester Lanier; in-laws, William (Red) and Vada Marie Irwin; sister-in-law, Barbara Sue Casselman; brother-in-law, Paul Casselman; uncles, Earl Osborn, and Lester Lee Osborn; aunts, Nona Osborn, and Mary Osborn; grandparents, Jessee Moses and Lena Moses, Arthur and Flora Osborn; grandparents-in-law, George and Lena Hall; and numerous cousins he loved.

Mike is survived by his wife, Geri, of the home; brother, Ralph Moses and wife Pat; nephews, Jason Moses and wife Marie, Shane Moses and wife Nicki; great nephew, Luke and wife Bradyn; great nieces, Brook, Audri, Hope, Rachel, and Cierra; and many dear friends. Funeral services celebrating Mike’s life will be 1PM, Friday, March 8, 2019 at Warner First Baptist Church with Pastor Sam Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery with Tyler Ward, Jason Moses, Jonathan Bailes, Steve Salmon, J. T. Kindred, and Shane Moses serving as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Murch, Bob Kiehn, Charlie McGrew, Ken Baird, Merle McKean, Paul West, Ralph Moses, Boe Mullins, Ron Jordan, Leo Smithson, Paul McCrary, Ray King Jr, and Bill Seabolt.
