Richard Lee Deringer, 71, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Friday, March 1, 2019. He was born on October 9, 1947 to George L. Deringer and Mary Elizabeth (Tedder) Deringer in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Richard graduated from Muskogee Central High School with the Class of 1966.

He loved doing crafts with his mom while she was alive and enjoyed making anything with wood. Richard enjoyed playing Bingo with his friends and family. He never met a stranger anywhere and loved visiting with his many friends he made over the years.

He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Deringer; his siblings, Francis (Deringer) Barton, and Donald Deringer; and his favorite poodle, Killer. He is survived by his sister, Georgie Hallum; and his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

The family will be receiving friends 5:30PM-7:30PM, Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of Richard’s life will be 1:30PM, Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Nate Capps officiating.

Entombment will follow at Memorial Park Mausoleum with Michael J. Cates, Tyler Adams, Justin Cates, Connor Deringer, Donovan Deringer and Zackary Deringer serving as pallbearers.
