Terry Lynn Boyd, 62, of Welling, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019. He was born January 29, 1957 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Kenneth and Jenean Boyd. Terry attended public school and graduated from Fort Gibson High School with the class of 1975.

After graduation he became a member of the Army National Guard. He left the National Guard to join the United States Navy where he served until 1979; then was a Navy Reservist until 1981. After his honorable discharge from the United States Navy, Terry attended Okmulgee Tech where he graduated with an Associates Degree.

Terry will always be remembered as a motorcycle enthusiast, rat rodding, tinkering on cars, and a proud member of the NRA. He worked as a truck driver for North American Van Lines and most recently as a renaissance artisan at renaissance faires. Terry will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Herbert and Grace Davis; paternal grandparents, Russell and Ida Mae Boyd; along with several aunts and uncles. Terry is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Jenean Boyd of Tahlequah, OK; siblings, Dianna Boyd of Muskogee, OK, David Boyd and wife Tresa of Colcord, OK, Chris Boyd and wife Marsha of Ft. Smith, AR; nieces, Dawna McKinley and husband Rick of Ft.

Gibson, OK, Sarena Boyd of Colcord, OK; nephews, Jimmy Boyd and wife Amanda of Springhill, TN, Tony Boyd and wife Amy, Friscoe Boyd, Jesse Boyd, all of Ft. Smith, AR, and Woody Boyd of Conway, AR; 5 great nieces; 8 great nephews; and 1 great nephew to be born in May; along with uncles, aunts, cousins, and many many friends. He will be greatly missed by his faithful and loyal companion, Stinker.

Funeral services celebrating Terry’s life will be 10AM, Friday, March 1, 2019 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Parker officiating. Interment will be at 2PM at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with military honors being presented.

Rick McKinley, Friscoe Boyd, Jimmy Boyd, Jesse Boyd, Tony Boyd, and Woody Boyd will be serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Cunningham, Rodney Rose, and Kensie Boyd. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Terry Lynn Boyd please visit our Sympathy Store.
