Obituary for Mrs. Audrey E. Burckle Audrey E. Burckle, 93, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Angels Touch Assisted Living. Audrey was born on September 29, 1924 in Green Bay, the daughter of the late Ray and Elizabeth (Jauquet) St. Laurent. She attended SS Peter & Paul grade school and was a graduate of Green Bay East High School.

Audrey was employed at the Red Owl Warehouse where she met the love of her life Clayton Burckle and the two were married on August 13, 1949 and they enjoyed over 67 years together. Clayton preceded her in death on September 11, 2016. Audrey had a very caring nature and loved helping people and she loved volunteering at church, the senior center and any other place that needed help.

She greatly enjoyed going to the Broadview Y and was very involved in the Active Older Adults and formed many lasting relations as well as planning and coordinating many of their events. Audrey and Clayton both made lasting friendships at the Broadview and the West Side Y. She loved to sew and was very handy in mending clothes especially for her grandchildren~ she was the go to person for any repairs. Audrey is survived by her two children Mary Burckle, Manitowoc; Lee (Arlene) Burckle, Orange County, CA; 5 grandchildren Bart (Jen) Klutterman, Kimberly (Bruce) Klutterman-Booher, Chelsea Klutterman, Sarah Burckle, Andrew Burckle, 3 great-grandchildren Torin, Rebecca and Olive, one sister Betty Van Alphen, 2 sisters-in-law Rosemary Sarkis and Evelyn Burckle.

Gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Nativity of Our Lord Parish 2270 S. Oneida Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:00 P.M. with Rev. Mike Ingold officiating.

Burial at Allouez Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and other expression of sympathy Memorial Donations may be made to The Greater Green Bay Area YMCA or KAN Cool for School. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Mrs. Audrey E. Burckle please visit our Sympathy Store.
