Marlene F. Vanden Boomen, age 67, Ashwaubenon, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 after a courageous fight with cancer. She was born April 12, 1951, to the late Stanley and Frances (Rosek) Niespodzany in Green Bay. On September 24, 1982, Marlene married Mark Vanden Boomen at St. Mary’s of the Angels Catholic Church in Green Bay.

Marlene was a graduate of Green Bay East High School and Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. She worked for U.S. Bank for more than 30 years in various positions and as a para-professional for Green Bay Area Public Schools for 11 years. She was a proud Packer season ticket holder and enjoyed watching all the games.

Marlene’s hobbies included gardening, crocheting, quilting, and other arts and crafts. She found passion in learning about her family history through genealogy research. Marlene’s pride and joy was her family.

Marlene is survived by her husband, Mark; two children, Matthew and Ashley; and two brothers, Jerry (special friend Debbie) and Gerald (Jenny). She is also survived by many extended family member and friends. Marlene was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her father, Stanley and mother, Frances. Visitation for Marlene will be held Tuesday, September 18, 2018, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue. Visitation will continue Wednesday, at 10:00 am at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 South Oneida Street, with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am officiated by Rev.

Michael Ingold. Entombment will be at Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. Expressions of sympathy, memories and photos may be shared with Marlene’s family on her tribute page at www.

lyndahl.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Marlene’s memory. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at Bellin Health including the Cancer Team, BEAM program, and Unity Hospice for their care and concern for Marlene.
