Obituary for Mr. Richard “Dick” E. Dohnal Richard “Dick” E. Dohnal, 78, Allouez, passed away at home on Thursday, November 29, 2018. Dick was born on April 19, 1940, in Green Bay, the son of the now late Edwin and Viola (Wanek) Dohnal. He was a graduate of Denmark High School class of 1958 and furthered his education at Badger Business College.

Dick was employed at Badger Bank in Denmark for 2 years, followed by Kellogg-Citizens Bank which later merged into the Associated Bank Corp. He retired in 1999 as an auditor after 30 years. On August 7, 1965 he married the former Karen Rosek at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Pine Grove.

Dick was very active with the St. Matthew’s Men’s Club, the Knights of Columbus Father Claude Allouez Council #10714, and he volunteered for many years with Karen at the St. Pat’s Food Pantry. He was also a member of the Allouez Village Band for several years and was actively involved as an officer in the WFLA Denmark Lodge. Dick enjoyed travelling, playing softball and golf.

He was an avid Packer Fan and a season ticket holder since the Glory Years. Dick loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their activities. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, a friend to many and will always be lovingly remembered and sorrowfully missed.

In Dick’s words “My family was always my greatest treasure”. Dick is survived by his wife of 53 years, Karen, his children Paula (John) Allen, Green Bay; David (Jill) Dohnal, Verona; J.D. (Carolyn) Dohnal, Hendersonville, TN; 5 grandchildren Bryn, Jack and Grant Allen, Hailey and Hannah Dohnal; his twin sister Rosemary Heim, a brother-in-law Robert Nerden, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jeanette (Rudy) Kolarik. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Nerden, 2 brothers-in-law Ray Moreau and Ray Heim, a mother-in-law and father-in-law Frank and Celia Rosek, a niece Lisa Blaney. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at St. Matthew Catholic Community, 130 St. Matthew Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 A.M. with Fr.

Bob Kabat officiating and Fr. Bill O’Brien concelebrating. Burial at Allouez Catholic Cemetery, Allouez.
