Obituary for Mr. Charles “Chuck” C. Shevey Charles Chester Shevey (affectionately known as Chuck, Chucky, Chucky Poo, The Chuckster, Uncle Chuck, Cheeby, Chaz, Chazmo, The Man with the Tan, Dad, and Dadster), 64, passed away peacefully at home on November 17, 2018. Chuck was born to Chester and Elizabeth (Hohlweck) Shevey on July 23, 1954 in Milwaukee. Chuck is survived by his beloved children Trevor “Tre-vorrrrr”, Taylor “Tay Tay”, and Tristen “Trissy” Shevey, father (Legendary) Chester Shevey, sister Nancy Isaacson, former wife Maureen “Little Mo” Mulvaney, and Trevor’s long-time girlfriend Jessica “Jess-ieeeee” Jacobs.

He is further survived by many family members and friends, including longtime friend of 50 years Chris Schaefer. He was preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth “Betty” Shevey and brother-in-law and partner-in-crime Mr. Scott Isaacson. Chuck graduated from Brookfield Central High School in 1972.

He went on to attend and graduate from Marquette University as a structural engineer in 1980. He was a successful salesman who owned several car dealerships with his father over the years, including Shevey Motors and Glendale Sports Cars. Chuck loved a well-manicured lawn with perfect diagonal mow lines.

He loved going out to dinner, summers in Door County, and drinking old fashioneds and martinis. He loved the camaraderie of bringing people together with food, and was often referred to as “The Food Pusher”. He loved cars, cats, and kids.

He had a passion for lifting weights and exercising. He loved playing “Bloody Murder”, grilling in the summertime, and wearing turtlenecks, khakis, and loafers without socks. He loved making others happy, checking in on loved ones, and taking care of people.

Above all, Chuck loved his children. Family was everything to Chuck. For the last 10 years of his life, he lived with and took care of his father in West Bend.

They shared a unique and special relationship including cars, cocktails, and conversation. They enjoyed attending church at Salem United Church Of Christ, where they had potluck dinners, played cards, and visited Betty’s grave. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00am to 12:00pm (noon) on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Salem United Church Of Christ.

The church is located North of intersection Hwy W/Hwy H in Wayne, 5 miles West of Kewauskum. A memorial service will be held at 12:00pm (noon) at the church with Pastor Ruth Hansen officiating. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
