Eileen (White) Swanson, 91, Green Bay, was born to eternal life with Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 17, 2018, with her loving family by her side. Eileen was born on January 28, 1927, to the late Edward and Margaret (Brown) White in Edmond, IA. On February 13, 1953, she was united in marriage to David Swanson.

Together, they moved to Green Bay, WI and began their family raising three adoring children. Eileen was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Green Bay. With her kind and patient heart, she impacted the lives of many.

She served as President of the PTA at Whitney & Tank schools, she was active in her daughters Brownie and Girl Scout Troops, and after being healed by the Lord of debilitating arthritis she honored him by starting the Wisconsin Arthritis Voluntary action Committee where she proceeded to serve on their board as President for 7 years. Eileen was a person of very strong faith and served the Lord in everything she did. In her free time, Eileen taught Sunday School and Catechism and attended Bible Classes which all were dear to her heart.

Eileen will be deeply missed by her three loving children, David (Carla) Swanson, Green Bay, WI, Jim (Maureen) Swanson, Green Bay, WI, and Diane Swanson, Green Bay, WI, who resided with Eileen. David and Jim are so grateful for the help, love and comfort that Diane provided Mom throughout her life. Eileen’s grandchildren and great grandchildren were her whole world, they brought her such joy!

Grandchildren are Elizabeth Swanson, Green Bay, WI, Josh (Carrie) Swanson, Green Bay WI, Holly (Barry) Kaul Green Bay, WI, and Adam (Christina) Swanson, Sus, WI; great-grandchildren, AnnaRose and Azalyah Swanson, Emily and Ava Lax, William Swanson, Cameron and Lillian Kaul, and Nathan Swanson. Eileen had 10 brothers and sisters who remained close no matter the miles apart. She is survived by Helen Hubbell, Rockville, MD, Evelyn Lee Spooner, Phoenix AZ, Marilyn (Robert) Hinton, Colona Ill, John Monroe, Glenwood MO, Lee (Evie) Monroe, Kewaunee Ill, sisters in law Sybil White, Lawton OK, Joann White, Clarion IA, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband David of 36 years, her parents, and 3 brothers, Clinton, Robert, James and 2 sisters Ruby, and (infant) Margaret. Friends may call at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1301 S. Ridge Rd, Green Bay, WI, on Saturday, November 24, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Fricke of Calvary Lutheran officiating.
