OBITUARY Audrey Istre February 3, 1925 – October 17, 2018 Audrey Johnson Istre age 93, of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 3, 1925. Audrey was a graduate of Iowa High School and Sowela School of Nursing who worked as a LPN for Lake Charles Memorial Hospital until retirement.

Audrey was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 70 years, Norris Istre, infant son, Kenneth Wayne Istre, parents, Abra and Philemon Bourque Johnson, brother, Roland Johnson, and sisters, Una Brashear, Shirley Mistretta, and Mary Lancaster. Those left behind to cherish her memories are daughters, Beverly Sue, and Vickie Lynn Richard(Jack); granddaughter, Lisa Stockman (Gary); grandsons, Brandon Richard and Jeremy Richard(Kaylee); great-granddaughters, Lindsey Sanders(Cody), Devin Stockman, Aubrey-Ana Richard, and Emma-Rae Richard; great-grandsons, Ezekiel Luce, Jaxson Richard, and Cappi Richard; great-great-granddaughters, Brooklyn Sanders and Kinley Pousson; great-great-grandson, Carter Pousson; sisters, Billie Smith(Ray), Rena Richard, Betty Chandler(Connie Mac), Lea Chandler(Walter), and Peggy Trahan(Willard); and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Hixson Funeral Chapel in Lake Charles. Rev. Robby Bacon will officiate.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Brandon Richard, Jeremy Richard, Gary Stockman, Cody Pousson, and nephew, Doug Smith. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery in Lake Charles. Visitation will be held from 3 – 8 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. until time of service on Sunday at the funeral home.
