Audrey’s Obituary Audrey Renee Mitchell, 58 of Bluefield WV went home to be with the Lord on December 21, 2018. Born March 24, 1960 in McDowell WV, Audrey was the daughter of the late Amos McCoy Ross Sr. and Dorothy Lenora Ross Martin. Audrey was preceded in death by one Brother Charles Leon Ross and stepfather Clarence Martin.

Audrey was educated in Mercer County public schools and also attended Bluefield State College where she received her Regents Bachelor of Arts degree. Audrey was employed at various jobs her last employer was Kid Connection in Princeton, WV. All that knew Audrey knew she loved and enjoyed children, she wasn’t fortunate enough to have any of her own, but God blessed her with God children left to cherish her memory Alvie Shaw Jr, Aaron Martin, Michael Smalls, Raenel Crenshaw, Danielle Cloyd, Jessica McConnell, Christopher Saunders and Kelsey Morgan.

Also left to cherish her memory her husband of 7 years Steve Akers of Coal City, stepson Sean (Carmela) Akers of Beckley are six sisters Linda (Bruce) Brown of Bluefield, Patricia Shaw of Premier WV, Peggy Hudson, Shelby Smalls, Beverly (Quentin) Crenshaw, and Leslie Martin all of Bluefield, and one brother Amos M. Ross Jr., of Bluefield, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and grandchildren. A memorial service will be privately held by family members and close friends on December 27, 2018 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
