Austin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Grady and Joyce Locklear; his maternal grandfather, Ervin Woods; one aunt, Teresa Locklear and three cousins, Hardy Oxendine, Landon Oxendine and Nacoya Woods. He is survived by his fiancée Ashley Bullard; one son, Graylon Locklear; an unborn child of Maxton; his parents, Greg and Jacqueline Locklear of the home; one sister, Cassie Locklear of the home; four brothers, Ryan Locklear of the home, Adam Locklear (Kayla) of Lumberton, Chris Woods (Tiffany) of Lumberton and Jonathon Heaton of Wilmington; his maternal grandmother, Pearline Woods of Maxton; one aunt Sue Oxendine (Greg) of Maxton; three uncles, David Locklear (Lesa) of Clinton, Timmy Woods (Darlene) of Pembroke and Ron Woods of Maxton; five nieces; eight nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
