Mrs. Azzielean Burke Gibson – Mrs. Azzielean Burke, 89, entered into rest Friday, July 13, 2018, at Gibson Health and Rehabilitation. She was the daughter of the late Mr. James Lamb and Mrs. Levada Coxwell Lamb. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2018, in Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.

Judy Layman officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Gibson. Mrs. Burke was a lifelong resident of Glascock County.

She was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith. Mrs. Burke was preceded in death by a daughter Martha Ann Kitchens and a son James Kitchens. Mrs. Burke is survived by her daughter, Carol Hendrick (Mike), Thomson; two sons, Pierce Newsome, of Warrenton, and Thomas Lamb, of Dearing; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren Friends may call at the funeral home.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Curtis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
