Barbara Ann Cobb Wilson, 59, of Calhoun, GA, died Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Erlanger Medical Center. She was born in Gordon County on January 22, 1959, daughter of the late Jack Ty and Juanita Hales Cobb. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Johnny Wilson; brothers, Jimmy Cobb, Lamar “Butch” Cobb, and David Cobb; and a sister, Janice Silvers.

Barbara attended Red Bud High School. She was employed with Passport Carpets. Survivors include Bobby Hyde, her soul-mate for 32 ½ years; her children, Heather Wilson (fiancé, Chris Garland), Johnny “Wayne” Wilson II, Holli (Stan) Nix, and Melissa (Michael) Cochran; granddaughters, Carol-Ann Crump, Macaela Richmond (fiancé, Zachary Ivey), and Chelsey (John) Brooker; grandsons, Allstin Tomlin, Colton Cochran, Hunter Cochran, Hayden Townsend, Jake Townsend, and Bobby (Julie) Russell; a sister, Shirley (Clifford) Manley; and special family members, Gary and Cindy Silver.

A host of nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law, also survive. Honoring her wishes, her body was cremated. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home of Calhoun.
