OBITUARY Barbara Ann Phelps January 28, 1937 – July 27, 2018 Barbara Ann Phelps, 81, of Supply died Friday July 27, 2018 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Phelps was born in Brunswick County on January 28, 1937 and was the daughter of the late William Lee Dickerson and Elizabeth Hewett Wood. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lenare Phelps; three sisters, Kay Ellen Evans, Judy Dickerson, Juanita D. Drake; two brothers, W.D. “Buster” Dickerson and Frederick Dickerson.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Shallotte and a graduate of the Brunswick County Sheriffs Department Academy. She is survived by a son, Greg Phelps and wife Cynthia of Supply; two daughters, Marilyn Hewett and husband Michael of Supply, Tina Johnson and husband Tom of Supply; grandchildren, Anthony Michael Hewett, Brian Nicholas Hewett, Alex T. Johnson, Brittany M. Johnson, Allison Barrett Phelps, Courtney Lynn Milliken; great grandchildren, Caiden, Ethan, Mason, Peyton, Khloe, Nicholas, Brantley, Brelin, Ava Grace. Funeral services will be held Monday July 30, 2018 at one o’clock in the afternoon at First Baptist Church of Shallotte with Pastor Bob Weathers officiating.

Interment will follow in the Silent Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, David Milliken, Legrand Phelps, Ronnie Fulford, Cory Dickerson, Gary McGee, Alex Johnson. Friends are invited to a time of visitation with the family at the church on Monday one hour prior to the service.
