Barbara Anne Shook, 73 of Zanesville, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Genesis Hospital. Barbara was born in Zanesville on October 12, 1944. She is the daughter of the late Doyle and Helen (Arnold) Stackhouse.

She was co-owner of JD’s Drive Thru and Southend Tobacco. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events. She loved playing bingo, shopping and visiting family.

Barbara is survived by her husband, David Shook, whom she married June 20, 1963; her two sons, Craig Shook of Zanesville and Todd (Lisa) Shook of New Albany; her five grandchildren, Molly, Annie, Alec, Ashton and Ayden; her siblings, Tim (Kim) Stackhouse of Chandlersville, Linda Thompson and Janee (Rodney) Mahon both of Philo and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Stackhouse and two sisters, Nancy Gilger and Shelby Stone. Visitations will be from 5 to 8 pm on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where Funeral Services will be 11 am on Monday.

Fr. Martin Ralko will be the celebrant. She will be laid to rest in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
