Barbara’s Obituary Barbara Barrett Daffron departed this life, Monday, March 4, 2019 at her home, 150 Michigan Avenue, Monticello, Kentucky. She was born December 4, 1938, the daughter of the late Vernon Barrett and Isabel Vanhook Barrett. She was a long-time dietician and worked at several large hospitals across the United States.

In 1979, she married Donald Daffron, moved to Monticello and spent the remaining years of her life. While living in Monticello, she and Donald owned Daffron’s Fruit Market on Columbia Avenue. She was also employed by Wayne Auction Barn for twenty years.

Her main interest in life was traveling. She made thirteen special trips and spent many happy times “seeing the world”. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband (Donald Daffron), a sister (Louise Werner), and a brother (Carl F. Barrett).

Survivors include: a sister (Christine Huff, Albany, Kentucky), and ten Daffron nieces and nephews. Private funeral services will be held Friday, March 8, 2019 at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel in Monticello. Mike Huffaker will officiate.
