OBITUARY Barbara Cheryl Patterson June 10, 1962 – December 3, 2018 Barbara Cheryl Hobbs Patterson, age 56 of Dunn, departed this life on Monday, December 3, 2018 at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital. She was born in Sampson County on June 10, 1962 to Bobby S. Hobbs and the late Jeanette Ward Hobbs. Barbara’s greatest joy in life was her family.

Her daughter, Erica was her world. They traveled all over the country during Erica’s dance competitions. As a young lady she would spend a lot of time with the family down on the beach at Surf City.

Often she could be found sitting with her dog Logan rooting Duke on to another victory. Barbara leaves behind to honor her legacy her father Bobby S. Hobbs; one daughter: Erica Ashley Patterson of the home; two sisters: Cheryl Hobbs Gautier and husband Chandler of Dunn and Brenda Hobbs Whaley and husband Dan of Wilson, NC; one niece: Larken Hobbs Whaley and nephew: Jackson Bobby Whaley. A funeral service to commemorate the life of Barbara Cheryl Hobbs Patterson will be conducted on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary of Central Baptist Church with Rev.

Tom Waggoner officiating. She will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of customary remembrance, memorial contributions may be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 3 International Drive, Suite 200, Rye Brook, NY 10573, or Sidekix PO Box 8027 Wilson, NC 27893.
