Barbara Jane O’Bryant age 86, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018, at Schnepp Health Care Center, St. Louis, MI with her family by her side. Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI, on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 10:00 A.M., with Pastor Denny Dennis officiating. Burial will take place Riverside Cemetery, Alma, MI.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Barb was born in Crystal, MI on August 7, 1932, the daughter of Harmon and Agnes (Bailey) Draper. She graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1950.

Barb married Gerald O’Bryant on October 19, 1952 in St. Louis, MI. Barb spent 31 years as a secretary at various elevators in the area including; Michigan Bean, the elevator in Breckenridge, and Brown Milling in Shepherd where she retired from. Barb enjoyed sewing, needlework and baking.

She was known for taking pies to work with her to share. Barb loved camping, fishing and spending time at the cabin in Cadillac. Time spent with her family brought her great joy.

She was a member of the Eastern Star, a guardian for Job’s Daughters, and a member of Rebekah. She is survived by her husband Gerald O’Bryant of St. Louis, MI, daughters: Belinda Deemter of Mt. Pleasant, MI; Deborah Leonard of St. Louis, MI; Kay and Kenneth Stouffer of Comstock Park, MI; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; and her sister Nancy Draper of St. Louis, MI.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Jerry (Rose) Draper. Memorials may be made to Coe Church of Christ, St. Louis, MI. Online condolences can be sent to www.
