Barbara (Jarboe) Duncan, 65, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 at St. Vincent Medical Center after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Barb was born in Evansville, Indiana on December 4, 1953 to the late James and Ione (Bradshaw) Jarboe. She was a 1971 graduate of Memorial High School.

Barb enrolled at ISUE in the Dental Hygienist program and worked as a hygienist for over 20 years. She later graduated from the nursing program at USI and retired from the… St. Vincent Infusion Center. Barb loved pets especially cats and enjoyed gardening and being outdoors.

She was an excellent caregiver, always helping others and very generous with her time and res. Barb was a member of Rock Steady Parkinson’s Boxing Group at the YMCA. Barb is survived by her sister, Kathleen Richardson (Larry) of Evansville, IN; nephew, Matthew Richardson (Sou) and their children, Eli, Ryland, and Cole; nephew, Luke Richardson (Laura) and their children, Jolene, Clayanna; friends, Corinna Apuan (David) and their twins, Hannah and Claire of Evansville, IN, Kathy Ewing (Bob Gerst) of Newburgh, IN and Kathy’s children, Tim Ewing of New York, NY, Greg Ewing (Laura) of Indianapolis, IN and Renee Tuley (Mark) of Boonville, IN.

Barb was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Steve Duncan and her parents. The family would like to thank her outstanding caregivers that were able to respect Barb’s wishes and allow her to remain at home during her sickness. The family would also like to acknowledge all of Barb’s numerous friends for the companionship and compassion that they have shown Barb in the recent years.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave. , Evansville, IN 47711. Friends may visit from 10:00 AM until service time on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Browning Funeral Home.
