Obituary for Sheila J Meyer Sheila J. Meyer, 72 of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2019 at Deaconess Hospital. She was born February 7, 1946, in Evansville to James Gay, II and Bonnie (Gay) Barron. Sheila formerly worked in Housekeeping at Welborn Baptist Hospital and was a longtime member of St. Peters UCC.

She enjoyed painting with water colors and spending time with her family. Sheila is survived by her husband, Ralph (Rip) Meyer, Jr. of 55 years ; son, Mark Meyer of Evansville; daughter, Kim Meyer (Brian Reine) of Elberfeld; grandchildren, Sean and Keela Kerney; great grandson, Amari Kerney all of Evansville; mother, Bonnie Barron of Newburgh; sister, Julie Raleigh; brother, Chris Kight both of Evansville; nieces and nephews. Sheila was preceded in death by her father; brother, James Gay, III; and sister, Lisa McCutchan.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 7: 00 am, Friday, January 11, 2019 at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 First Ave. Funeral service will begin at 10:30 am Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the funeral home with Rev. Brian Buschkill officiating.

Burial will be in the Locust Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Peters UCC, 7014 Darmstadt Rd, Evansville, IN 47710. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at DaVita Dialysis for their special care.
