Obituary for Delores “Oey” Bruce Delores “Oey” Bruce, 93, of Evansville, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 at her home. Oey was a homemaker and a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. She is survived by her daughter, Jo Ann Layman; sister, Betty Schenk and brother, Maurice “Sonny” Konrad, all of Evansville and caregivers, Danny (Michele) Knight; Darin (Marti) Knight, Amy (Troy) Meyer, Carroll Knight and Susie Emge.

Oey was preceded in death by her husband, James L Bruce in 1999; by a son-in-law, Jerry Layman; sisters, Rose Butts, Mary Titzer, June Knight, Joyce Jung and Patricia Shake and by a nephew, William “Chuck” Knight. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at St. Boniface Church, Rev. John Brosmer officiating.

Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 7:00 PM on Wednesday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, where there will be a memorial service conducted at 4:00 PM. Friends may also visit with the family from 9:30 AM until service time on Thursday at St. Boniface Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Deaconess VNA Hospice or to the Mater Dei Football program. Condolences may be made online at www. pierrefuneralhome.com.
