George Michael “Sully” Sullivan, 69, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at John Cochran Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Mike was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on July 1, 1949 to the late John and Dorothy (Williams) Sullivan. He honorably served in the United States Marines where he was awarded both the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.

He enjoyed trap shooting and spending time with family and all of his dogs, especially his Bichon Frises. Every year he attended the Mike 3/7 Marine Reunions and the Kokomo Veterans Reunions. Mike deeply loved his family and would do anything for them.

Mike is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cynthia “Cindy” (Chumbley) Sullivan of Evansville, IN; daughter, Stacie Sullivan of Evansville, IN; son, Darin Sullivan (Berly) of Owensboro, KY; sisters, Sandra Stahl (Terrence) of Hammond, IN and Linda Bolin (John) of Crete, IL; brother, Dennis Randall Sullivan of San Diego, CA; and grandchildren, Katherine and Jackson Tillman Sullivan. Mike was preceded in death by his daughter, Michele Sullivan in 1971; and by his parents. A celebration of Mike’s life will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave.

, Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Jamus Edwards officiating where the Marine Corps League will provide military honors. Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until service time on Sunday at the funeral home. The family would to thank the staff at John Cochran Medical Center for all the care and compassion shown to Mike.
