Mrs. Martha Drake, age 89 of Franklin, KY, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at 5:15 PM at the Medical Center in Franklin, KY. Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 4, 2019 with burial to follow at Providence Cemetery in Simpson Co., KY. Martha was born March 9, 1929 in Orlinda, TN to the late Bert Edens and late Lois Brewer Edens.

She was the wife of the late Leonard Drake. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law Roger Cothern. She is survived by a daughter Judy Drake Cothern of Franklin, KY, a grandson Jeff Cothern (Robbie) of Franklin, KY, granddaughter Kim McWhorter (Steven) of Oakland, KY, great grandchildren Josh Cothern, Garrett Cothern, Cody Potts, Abby Potts, Andrew McWhorter, Nikki McWhorter, and a sister Linda Dinning (James) of Bowling Green, KY.

Martha was a member of Providence Baptist Church of Simpson Co., KY and was retired from Siemens/Potter and Brumfield. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, January 3, 2019 and from 6:00 AM until time of service Friday at Gilbert Funeral Home of Franklin, KY. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to Providence Baptist Church of Simpson Co., KY.
