OBITUARY Janie Lynn Harp November 30, 1952 – January 2, 2019 Play Tribute Movie Janie Lynn Harp, 66, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. She was born in Evansville, IN on November 30, 1952 to the late Joe and Sharon DeShields. Janie was retired from Harp’s Pets, which she co-founded with Gary Harp.

She loved her grandchildren, animals, gardening and reading. Janie was a true people person and she never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Janie is survived by; daughter, Allison Miller (Chris); granddaughter, Emily Kasey; grandsons, David and Brody Miller; brothers, Dan DeShields (Patti), Billy DeShields (Kathy); nephew, Jeff DeShields; nieces, Erin DeShields, Katie DeShields; her partner in life for over 20 years, Anthony DuPont; his daughters; Lauren Sisk (Aaron), Sarah Pressley (Lloyd); their children, Carter, Kayden, Logan, Avary, Josslee, Rowan and Ruby; former husband, Gary Harp, and his mother, Margaret Harp. A memorial service was held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Bobby Pell.

Family and friends visited from 12:00 p.m. until service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Accent on Christ, 509 S. Kentucky Ave. , Evansville, IN 47714.
