Obituary for Barbara Jean Horvath Pickett Barbara Jean Horvath Pickett passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 26, 2018, surrounded by family in her Richmond home. Barbara was born on September 19, 1938 in Victoria, Texas to Johnie Alexander and Willie Mae Horvath. She graduated from Patti Welder High School in 1957 and then attended the Lilly Jolly School of Nursing before embarking on a nearly forty-year career in nursing.

She was a long time member of Faith United Methodist Church of Richmond. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years J. W. (Bill) Pickett, son Pat Pickett and wife Dorothy Lee of Johnson City, son John Pickett and wife Lori, daughter Jill Roe and husband Mark, daughter Julie Pickett, all of Richmond, Texas. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Whitney Rachui, Tyler Roe, Trevor Roe, Britnee Gilmer and P.J. Hendrickson.
