HAMILTON – Barbara Jeanne “Barbi” Gillispie, 54, of Hamilton passed away in the loving arms of her husband on Friday, May 4, 2018 from Multiple Myeloma at her home. She was born March 13, 1964 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Lawrence and Patsy Brow. Barbi was raised and educated in Butte and Dillon, graduating from Beaverhead County High School.

She then attended the college of hard knocks. Barbi spent most of her adult years in Great Falls, where she met and married John Gillispie. Together they eventually moved to Helena and then finally to Hamilton.

Barbi enjoyed baking and doing crafts. Her greatest love was her family and especially her grandchildren. Barbi was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Brow.

She is survived by her loving husband, John, of Hamilton; her mother, Patsy Philson; 6 daughters, Destiny May (Adam) Hall, Heather Martin, Diamond Gillispie, Krissy Gillispie, Kari (Dan) Hahn and Kylie (Joe) Lindeman; 4 sons, Brandon Lawrence (Chantal) Houltzhouser, Kyle Damon and partner Bobby Jacobsen; Timothy Gillispie and John Lee Gillispie; 1 sister, Jennifer McLauren; 3 brothers, David, Joseph and Brian Brow; and 12 grandchildren, Liberty Jeanne, Carsen and Kinzlee Hall, Emily, Trenton and Anna Houltzhouser, Shelby Damon, Jackson Swan, Rilyn and Wyatt Hahn and Gunner and Waylon Lindeman. Services will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Hamilton Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Pine Street with a reception following at the church.
