OBITUARY Barbara L. Quadrini August 26, 1937 – December 2, 2018 Barbara Louise Quadrini, 81, a longtime resident of Marlborough, NH passed away peacefully on December 2, 2018 surrounded by love and with her family by her side. Daughter of Melvina and Harry Blair, Barbara was born on August 26, 1937 in Marlborough, New Hampshire. Barbara spent her childhood in Marlborough and met the love of her life while she worked as a teenager as a retail clerk in a department store in Keene.

She married Theodore (Ted) Quadrini on June 23, 1956 and soon after worked as a payroll clerk with the company who constructed locks on the St. Lawrence Seaway. She and Ted eventually settled in Mamaroneck, NY, a suburb of New York City. Upon Ted’s retirement, they returned to Marlborough for an active life with their friends and community.

Barbara was the beloved mother of seven children, to whom she dedicated her life to raising. She was a kind, selfless woman, known for her great sense of humor and love for fun. She was also a great baker; her kids would travel for miles for a slice of her famous apple pie.

She enjoyed reading, quilting, knitting baby clothes, as well as making prayer shawls for the elderly in her spare time. Barbara will be remembered for her thoughtful and loving ways towards everyone she encountered. She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years as well as two sons; Thomas and his wife (Tammy) of Indianapolis, IN, and James and his wife Carrie of Oakland, NJ; her five daughter’s; Donna Quadrini of Indianapolis, IN, Maryann Huffert (Anthony) of Darnestown, MD, Dr. Karen Quadrini (Matthew Fugowski) of Merrick, NY, Andrea Correa (Peter) of Yorktown Heights, NY and Diana Quadrini of Queens, NY; two brothers; Robert Blair of West Suffield, CT and John Blair (Cathy) of Alstead, NH; one sister; Anne Sweeney of Elkton, MD; seventeen grandchildren and fourteen nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Bernard’s Church, 185 Main Street, Keene, NH on Monday, December 10th at 10:00 a.m. Spring burial will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Marlborough, NH. Family and friends are invited to call at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, NH on Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o Parish of the Holy Spirit, 161 Main Street, Keene, NH 03431.
