Barbara Ruth Gilliam, nee Worley, of Steelville, MO passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 in her home at the age of 87 years. On July 19, 1931, Barbara was born in Davisville, MO to Floyd and Mildred Martin Worley. In May of 1948 at Steelville, MO, she was united in marriage to Albert “Henry” Gilliam and to this union three children were born.

Barbara worked for twenty years as a cook for Steelville Schools and also as the bookkeeper for Gilliam Auto Sales. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Barbara always enjoyed baking for her family and loving her time with all of them.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry Gilliam; son, Roger Gilliam; great-grandson, Garrett Manthey; great-granddaughter, Daniella Gilliam; sisters, Neville (Lee) Smith and Rosalee (Earl) Midyett; and sister-in-law, Judy Worley. She is survived by her son, William Henry “Billy” (Vicky) Gilliam of Steelville, MO; one daughter, Ruth Ann (Don) Booker of Salem, MO; daughter-in-law, Karen Ward of Rolla, MO; six grandchildren, Melissa (Bill) Manthey, Jim Booker, Lisa (Ronny) Weber, Daniel Gilliam, Mike Gilliam and Alisa (Federico) Artioli; ten great-grandchildren, Ryan Weber, Reese Weber, Cody Manthey, Autumn Manthey, Macy Manthey, Mekenna Manthey, Savannah Mathey, Thomas Booker, Sam Booker, and Mikayla Gilliam; four great-great-grandchildren, Lilli Wagner, David Wagner, Ryli Wagner and Sienna Santiago; one brother, Tom Worley of Cherryville, MO; sister, Betty (Ted) Krahling of Longmont, CO; other relatives; and friends. The Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at the Britton- Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO with Rev. Alan Miles officiating. Committal prayer and interment will be in the Sanders Cemetery, Huzzah, MO.
