Barbara S. Lane, 68, passed away on October 15, 2018. She was born in Tell City on June 21, 1950, daughter of the late Howard and Kathleen (Becker) Knaebel. Also preceding her in death was a son in infancy, Scott Allen Richards.

Barbara was a 1968 graduate of Tell City High School and retired from Res-Care where she had worked in several different areas. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, flower gardening, reading, going to church and spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are her children, Craig Richards (Lisa), Evanston and Jennifer Richards, Lamar; grandchildren, Chase and Gracie Richards, Corey Richards and Christian Lane and a brother, Howard, Jr. “Sonny” Knaebel (Marilyn), Tell City.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in New Hope Cemetery in Newtonville. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital.
