Obituary of Barbara Stout Barbara Lawson Stout, 77, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at NHC of Kingsport surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was born on November 4, 1941 to the late James and Lakie Lawson. She is a graduate of Lynn View High School.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter, Ginger Stout Wilson; and brothers, Clarence “Cooch” Lawson and Wayne Lawson. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, AJ Stout; daughter, Julie Stout Lewis and husband Steve; grandchildren, Jason Harkleroad and wife Candy, Cody Wilson, Hannah Duncan, Heather Shropshire and husband Blake, Alex Lewis; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Lawson and wife Deborah; sister, Edith Parrot and Otis; sister, Wilma Mullins and husband Robert; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 5pm to 7pm at Carter Trent Funeral Home, Downtown Kingsport.

A funeral service will follow with Mike Lewis and Blake Shropshire officiating. A graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Memorial Park on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 11am. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10 am to go in procession.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to thank Dr. Bruce Vincent and his staff, Dr. Douglas Springer, Dr. R. Douglas Strickland, the staff at NHC of Kingsport, and the staff of Caris Hospice for their love and care of Mrs. Barbara. Carter Trent Funeral Home, Downtown Kingsport is serving the Stout Family.
