Barry R. Detwiler, 71, husband of the late Gloria J. (Papp) Detwiler of Royersford, PA, died on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at home. Although leaving us before expected, Barry lived a full life. We have all experienced his passion for the outdoors and staying active.

We will forever have the memory of his smile and good spirits. A great man, father, grandfather, friend, and spouse. May he be at peace in heaven forever, and until we meet again.

Born on July 2, 1947 in Phoenixville, PA, he was the son of the late Paul L. and Eleanor (Troutman) Detwiler. He retired from Kinsey Nash as a Tool and Die Maker. He was a member of Royersford United Methodist Church.

Surviving is his son, Brian husband of Annie Detwiler. 3 Grandchildren: Madeline, Kaitlyn, and Peter. 2 Brothers: Bruce Detwiler and Ken Detwiler.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service at Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA, on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Rev. James McIntyre officiating. Burial will follow in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens.

A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to ALS Association, Greater Philadelphia Chapter, 321 Norristown Road, Suite 260, Ambler, PA 19002-2755 or online at www. ALSPhiladelphia.org.
