Beatrice’s Obituary Mrs. Beatrice S. Gartelman was born in Gambrills on October 31, 1935 to the late Mr. Elwood Chaney and Mrs. Iris Chaney. As a lifelong resident of Anne Arundel County, Mrs. Gartelman was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church where she was a volunteer Sunday school teacher. When she wasn’t helping on the family farm, she enjoyed making ceramics, doing crafts, and playing cards.

Mrs. Gartelman was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. It is with great sadness to announce Mrs. Beatrice Sarah Gartelman passed away peacefully at Somerford Assisted Living of Annapolis on February 6, 2019 with her family by her side. In addition to both her parents, Mrs. Gartelman was predeceased by her loving husband Mr. Henry D. Gartelman, Jr. in 2010.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son Mr. Glenn Gartelman, granddaughter Mrs. Jessica Doyle and her husband David, and her four amazing great-grandchildren Alyssa, Carter, Colin, and Alivia and brother Mr. Elwood Chaney, Jr. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
