Rose was born May 20, 1938 to the late William Franklin and Mannie Lee Rose. Mr. Rose proudly served in the United States Coast Guard, after leaving the service Mr. Rose went on to work as an insulator at a chemical plant. In his free time he enjoyed watching movies and going fishing.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings Franklin Rose and Grace Mary Rose. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 57 years Judith Rose, his son John D. Rose and his wife Kristen, brothers Eugene, William and Roland Rose, and grandchildren Allison Leigh Rose and John Shepard Rose. Mr. Rose passed away May 29, 2019 at Harbor Hospital.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
