Funeral services for Mr. Beeman Chandler Keen, Jr., age 84 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 12, 2018 at Brown Memorial Baptist Church with interment to follow at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Randy Adams will officiate.

Mr. Keen was born July 24, 1933 in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late Beeman Chandler Keen, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Bryan Keen. He was a retired farmer and County Agriculture Extension Agent for University of Georgia serving in Coffee County… Read More » and Johnson County.

He was a member of Brown Memorial Baptist Church, Wrightsville Rotary Club, Laurens County Farm Bureau, where he served as the Director, and the Laurens County Cattlemen Association. He was also a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Keen passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 at his residence.

Mr. Keen is survived by his loving wife, Brenda R. Keen of Adrian, 3 sons, Beeman C. Keen, III of Orianna, Bobby Dollar of Adrian, and Brad Dollar of East Dublin, 3 daughters, Judy Bethea of Adrian, Mary Ross of Grayson, and Marcie Dickerson of East Dublin, 14 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Phillip Boatright, Kasey Carter, Bruce Deal, Neil Kyzer, Caleb Pool, and Mark Crosby. The Deacons of Brown Memorial Baptist Church will serve as Honorary Escort.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Sunday, March 11, 2018 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mr. Keen to Brown Memorial Baptist Church Social Hall Fund at 47 South Valley Street, Wrightsville, GA 31096. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
